BRANDS & WARRANTY
We have compiled the following information as a guide to product / brand / manufacturer warranties.
All appliances will have some form of warranty, although, this will vary between each manufacturer and sometimes from product to product.
Most manufacturers offer a standard warranty on the external body casting and then require the appliance to be registered directly with the manufacturer in order to extend. Internal consumable parts in the most part, are generally not covered by warranty.
Warranties also require:
- Appliance to be used as per guidelines
- Installation by qualified, experienced heat engineer
- Installed with appropriate flues + chimney
- Burning the appropriate fuel
- Appropriate annual cleaning and maintenance
Not adhering to the above normally leaves warranty null and void.

Whether your appliance is covered by warranty depends on the manufacturer and the terms of purchase. Most stove manufacturer’s offer warranties for a specific period (typically 1-5 years) covering defects in materials or workmanship. However, warranties often don't cover damage from improper use, installation errors, or normal wear and tear.
To find out if your appliance is covered by warranty, refer to the warranty information provided by the manufacturer or retailer at the time of purchase. If you're unsure, contact the dealer or manufacturer directly for clarification. It's also important to keep your proof of purchase and follow any maintenance requirements specified in the warranty to ensure coverage remains valid.
Items not covered by warranty typically include naturally-wearing parts and consumables within the stove. These are components that experience regular use and wear over time. Warranties are also non-transferable. For both solid fuel and gas stoves, the following items are generally not covered:
For Solid Fuel Stoves:
- Glass and rope/ceramic seals
- Fire bricks
- Baffles/Throat plates
- Log retainers, grate supports & catch bars
- Grate parts
- Ash-pans
- Clip-in Boilers
For Gas Stoves:
- Gas pilot assemblies
- Thermocouples and Oxy pilots
- Ceramic log & coal 'fuel-effects'
- Batteries
Installation is not covered by warranty.
It's important to check your specific stove's warranty terms for any exceptions or variations. Regular maintenance and proper use can help extend the lifespan of these components.
The warranty is void in the event of the appliance being modified/adjusted, improperly used, overloaded/overheated, incorrectly installed, missing its serial number/type plate or if the appliance has been left in a humid, damp and/or unheated environment.
