Complete My Stove Installation – What You’ll Need

Everything required to install your stove safely & correctly

We’ve put together a full list of the essential components you’ll need to complete your new stove installation. Whether you're working with a HETAS installer or doing your research ahead of time, this guide has you covered.

You Will Need:

1. Stove

Your chosen wood-burning or multi-fuel appliance, sized correctly for your space and heat output needs.

2. Stove Pipe

Connects your stove to the flue system. Usually single-skin vitreous enamel pipe for the first metre or so from the appliance.

3. Chimney Adaptor or Flexible Flue Liner

  • Chimney Adaptor: Connects stove pipe to existing flue system.
  • Flexible Flue Liner: Required for older brick chimneys to ensure safe and efficient smoke extraction.

*You will need one or the other*

4. Stove Hearth

A non-combustible base to protect your floor from heat and embers. Must meet minimum size and thickness regulations.

5. Closure Plate

Seals off the bottom of the chimney where the flue enters, creating a clean finish and preventing debris or draughts from entering.

6. Rosette

A decorative and functional trim that creates a tidy seal where the stove pipe enters the chimney opening.

7. Stove Chamber

Provide a cost effective solution to line the sides & rear of the stove chamber recess area.

8. Chamber Edge Trim Kit

A finishing Trim designed to hide the rough edge of the Stove Chambers or Cladding.

9. Stove Beam

Add a finishing touch to your stove install. Available in Wood & Wood Effect options.

10. Carbon Monoxide Alarm

Legally required in the UK when installing a solid fuel appliance. Must be installed in the same room as the stove and kept in working order.
